It is quite common in babies to have constipation. The major causes could be dehydration, poor diet of immature digestive system of the baby. In this article, i will mention some natural things to remedies constipation of babies.


Grapes are extremely rich in water and fiber which can help a lot to ease constipation. Remember to always wash what you are about to eat or you will be adding a problem instead of solving one.


Kiwis are rich in fiber which will make the stool harder and speed up the bowel movement. In addition, kiwis contain an enzyme known as “actinidine” that causes movement in the upper gastrointestinal tract which will end up with positive effects on gut motility and improve the digestion system.


Apples are very rich in fiber and water which is perfect to ease up the digestion system and help with constipation.Moreover, apples have in their skins insoluble fiber that acts as a natural laxative. Therefore, an apple a day keeps the constipation away.


What differs pears from other fruits is that they are very high in fructose and sorbitol. Because fructose and sorbitol are not well absorbed in the body, they will end up in the colon allowing them to do their job. Fructose will be able to stimulate the bowel movement and the sugar alcohol sorbitol will act as a natural laxative. Just like apples, pears have insoluble fiber in their skins and are rich in fibers and water allowing them to relieve and prevent constipation.

Leafy Vegetables:

Eating plenty of vegetable and greens such as spinach, Brussels sprouts and broccoli, is very important for a good and healthy digestive system. They are rich in fiber which is a main element to help with constipation. Not only that, but they are also rich in vitamin C, vitamin K and folate that make the stool harder and heavier easing up the bowel movement.

In addition, broccoli also contains a substance that helps to protect the gut and ease digestion, called” sulforaphane”. It also helps in preventing some health problems in digestion and constipation.


Beans, peas and lentils are very rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber. This will relieve constipation by bulking up the weight and size of your baby’s stool and making it easier to pass through your digestive tract and gut.
